Mustang 2011

Mustang 2011
The 2011 Ford mustang will be a carry over model in the refreshed version this year with a few signifigant changes happening underneath the hood. New engine selections for the 2011 Mustang incorporate a new 400 horsepower 5.0-liter motor and a new Duratec 3.7-liter V-6 engine which will replace the 4.0-liter V-6 the Mustang has used for several years. The upgrades within the engine department for the 2011 Mustang were needed to meet the need for their competitors who’ve signifigantly more horsepower within their V-8 and V-6 engines.
Room, comfort, and utility: As pony cars go, the 2011 Mustang isn’t quite the Clydesdale Dodge’s Challenger is, therefore the Ford is often a comfortable four-passenger car only if the trunk passengers haven’t grown taller than 5-foot-3 approximately. As with the Camaro, front seaters get all the headroom and legroom you could reasonably expect. Mustang’s driver and co-pilot, however, enjoy an airier ambiance and outward visibility compared to Chevy’s, because of a taller roofline and more upright window pillars.
With a lot additional horsepower standard, the 2011 Mustang received enhancements to its chassis to maintain the outstanding balance and driving behavior Mustang owners expect. Damper tuning and spring rates were revised to provide a smooth highway ride while a brand new rear lower control arm and stiffened stabilizer bar bushings improve stiffness and handling for better cornering response.
V-6 and GT versions from the 2011 Mustang come in base and Premium trim, while two new trim packages create ponies of the different color. Named for that Mustang Club of America, the MCA Exclusive edition package for V-6 Mustangs includes a billet-look grille with offset Mustang emblem, reverse “C” body-side stripe, blackout tail trim, specific decklid spoiler, and 18-inch alloy wheels in place of the conventional 17s.
Ford compliments the revamped 2011 Mustang engine lineup with a new group of transmissions. The 2011 base and GT models continue having a choice of manual or automatic transmission but each now has six speeds instead of five. The 2011 GT500 continues just with a six-speed manual. The 2011 Mustang also gets revised suspension tuning and larger four-wheel disc brakes. A limited-slip differential has become standard on all models. Inside a significant change, the 2011 Mustang switches to electric power steering assist. This eliminates the power- and fuel-economy-reducing drag of an engine-operated hydraulic steering pump. It allows Ford to fine-tune steering effort and to introduce what it really calls “Active Nibble Control” software that compensates for crosswinds, road crowning, even minor shimmy from the slightly out-of-balance wheel or warped rotor.
Dashboard and controls: Want to savor a 2011 Mustang interior in all its aluminum-accented, leather-lined, ambient-lit, Steve McQueen-cool-instrumentation glory? You’ll have to spring for a Premium version. Otherwise, you get a morose expanse of dashboard plastic, upholstery with the tactile richness of polyester, a controls rim suited for a delivery van, and bleak-looking gauges.
In the event you purchase a 2011 Ford mustang or wait for a 2012 Ford mustang? Unless you’re a stickler for added performance no matter what, purchase the 2011 Mustang. The 2012 Mustang will provide a limited-edition Boss 302 version with additional horsepower and performance alterations for weekend racers. Otherwise, purchasing the 2011 Mustang provides you with a jump about the styling, muscle, and technology that’ll see this pony car to the finish of their current design generation, likely in model-year 2014.
From driving: A rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible with a cramped rear seat and marginal cargo space isn’t for everyone, however the 2011 Mustang manages to envision the majority of the magic that makes owning a car like this worthwhile. It begins with V-6 performance that finally lives as much as the racy exterior styling and V-8 muscle that cringes when confronted with no competitor.

The new 2011 Ford Mustang V6 is a nice car, 5.0 high. In each model, the Ford Mustang GT 2010, but resolve all errors. Besides the new engine (which is the story of a major) to the Blue Oval boys some other changes. And 'well-trained eye, the visual difference in 2010-2011, not models, but there are differences. First, the pony in the aluminum matrix of light colors. In addition, the front and back slightly bent. There is a new front wing and lower air intake and rear wheels have tires Leggings hours. All exterior modifications to the aerodynamics of the chassis and up to four percent more aerodynamic car and contribute to the achievement of this very respectable 412 hp brute 26 mpg on the highway. Do not forget the large, bright 5.0 emblem. A1A waterfront was announced! The changes can not see the number of NVH improvement, which is located on the back of the layer of insulation and sound absorption coating eight, all in the car surprisingly quiet. We can say, very quiet, we do not hear incomprehensible 5.0, but does not agree. overhead cam engines do not really like mills incomprehensible cam block yes. Put it this way, a more pleasant day. Also, if the valve V8, fast cars with the soundtrack, the dream of complete equipment. 2010 Ford Mustang GT has maintained a resonator and the sound is still recorded in 2011. min, in fact, more than 3500 rpm can be balanced stereo mix of the intake and exhaust noise care. Believe me, love like you.

The Mustang is an automobile produced by the Ford Motor Company. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9, 1964. 1969 was the benchmark year for Ford Mustang in its proliferation of performance names and engines. No less than 6 factory performance Mustang models were available (Boss 302, 429 Cobra Jet, Shelby GT350, GT500 and the Mach 1). Additionally, 9 variations of V-8s were available in the 69-70 cars.

2011 Ford Mustang 4 door sedan Preview

ford mustang 4 door sedan
Ford Mustang 4

At the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, Ford will unveil a four-door, rear-wheel-drive concept car. The concept, known as "The Interceptor", is based on the Mustang’s rear-wheel-drive architecture and will be a preview of the Ford Mustang sedan that will go on sale starting 2011.
We know that Ford denied that a Mustang Sedan version will ever be made, but if the Concept that will be presented in Detroit will use the Mustang’s RWD architecture the car will see the production for sure. First because the Mustang’s platform will keep the price acceptable and secondly because we believe Ford really needs this model in its line-up; for example Dodge and Chrysler have models on 4-dour market that sells very well and until now Ford does not have any competition on this segment of 4-door sport. So if they want to compete on this segment of the market a Mustang Sedan is a must. Although we are not sure if the model will go on sale under the "Mustang" name, but it will go on sale as a competitor for Chrysler 300C SRT8 and Dodge Charger RT.

Ford Mustang 4
The model will have a modern shape with the design insipred by the Giugiaro Mustang Concept that was presented at Los Angeles Auto Show. So it is very posible that the Mustang sedan to have the same dimenssions as the Giugiaro: 30 millimeters added to the front, gradually expanding the width by a full 80 millimeters toward the rear. The detailed look will have a clear modernization: the retro-look dominating so far is taken clearly back and the futuristic Design yields.
The new model will be powered by a range of V6 and V8 engines. Standard will be the same 4.0 liter V6 engine that powers Mustang Coupe delivering arround 200 hp. Another option will be powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine with an output of 280 hp. Also a more powerful version is also expected, with an output arround 400 hp.
Ford will also try to increase the gas mileage in its entire line-up. It will implement a displacement on demand system, (similar to that which GM is currently running), in which 4 cylinders shut-off for highway cruising, and all eight are activated when the throttle is pressed.

Ford Mustang 4
The chassis will remain the same for the Mustang Sedan, similar to how the 1994-1998 models shared the same core chassis as the 1999-2006s, yet they still managed to look a good amount different. Also the sedan will have the same five speed manual and five speed automatic transmission as the current Coupe.
The 2011 Mustang Sedan will attempt to incorporate a futuristic look and still maintaining the classic Mustang look.

2011 Ford Mustang v6 Engine (video)

Ford
will be using a new, all-aluminum V6 engine for the base Ford Mustang, the company announced today.  The engine is not only more powerful than the previous unit, but should also provide better fuel economy.
The company will use a 3.7-liter, 24-valve Duratec engine that produces 305-horsepower and up to 380 ft-lb of torque.  This is a huge power improvement over the 210-hp 4.0-liter V6 used on the 2010 model year, despite the current unit having a larger displacement.

"This overlap control via Ti-VCT helps us eliminate compromises in the induction and exhaust systems," said Jim Mazuchowski, Ford manager of V-6 powertrain operations. "Drivers are going to notice improved low-speed torque and increased fuel economy and peak horsepower. Plus, there are benefits they won't notice, too, such as reduced emissions overall, especially at part-throttle."

The flexibility allowed by Ti-VCT means Mustang V-6 customers will experience:
-Better off-the-line launch feel, with plenty of the low-end "grunt" for which Mustang is famous. Ti-VCT can deliver up to a 5 percent improvement in low-end torque and a 7 percent improvement in peak power versus non-Ti-VCT-equipped engines.
-Improved fuel economy at all engine speeds resulting in projected 19 mpg city/30 highway with six-speed automatic transmission; 18 mpg city/29 highway with six-speed manual transmission. Ti-VCT alone can account for up to a 4.5 percent fuel economy improvement over non VCT engines.
-Lower emissions, with better control of NOx and HC throughout the range of engine operating speeds, reducing atmospheric pollution.

How the technology works
As a DOHC design, the 3.7-liter V-6 uses two camshafts per cylinder bank - one to open the intake valves and one to open the exhaust valves. Traditionally, camshafts only have been able to open the valves at a fixed point defined during engine design and manufacturing. But with modern variable cam timing systems, the camshafts can be rotated slightly relative to their initial position, allowing the cam timing to be "advanced" or "retarded."

Mustang V6 Performance Package

In an effort to promote the sporty nature of this new V6 Mustang, Ford will also offer customers the option of purchasing a high-performance package for their V6 Mustangs. The package, which will become available in August of 2010, includes the following:
  • A 3.31 rear axle ratio for quicker off-the-line acceleration
  • Firmer Mustang GT suspension
  • 19-inch wheels
  • Summer performance tires for improved grip
  • A strut tower brace for increased chassis rigidity
  • Unique electronic stability control calibration with sport mode for performance driving.

    Pricing and Build Details

The base V6 Mustang will cost you $22,995, while the well equipped V6 Premium will set you back $26,695. Ford says the 2011 V6 Mustang will be built at the Auto Alliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The new 3.7L V6 will be built at Ford’s recently retooled Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1.
